MH Philosophy
MovementHolic was founded in 2015 by Claudia Cocci Grifoni, a passionate Holistic Physiotherapist and Movement & Pilates Coach.
MovementHolic reflects her endless passion for movement, optimal function and truly holistic wellbeing, with an approach that looks beyond symptoms to understand the physical, psychological, social and lifestyle factors that may influence how each person feels, moves and recovers.
Humans are designed to move and find joy in it. Learning to move well and often is key not only to overcoming and preventing injuries, but also to feeling physically and mentally strong.
MovementHolic’s ethos centres on bespoke, holistic healthcare, moving away from dependency on passive treatment and towards movement, education, strength and body awareness.
Claudia and her team see themselves as facilitators of the healing process, rather than people who “fix” patients, empowering each individual with the understanding, confidence and tools to take an active role in their recovery, move better and build lasting health for life.
Every injury is an incredible learning curve.
Embrace the process, enjoy the results.
Meet the founder
Claudia Cocci Grifoni
FOUNDER
SENIOR MSK PHYSIOTHERAPIST
WOMEN’S HEALTH SPECIALIST
HEALTH & MOVEMENT COACH
Claudia is a passionate Holistic Physiotherapist, Women’s Health Specialist, and Health & Movement Coach.
Her journey began in 2006 with a BSc (Honours) in Physiotherapy from Italy, followed by advanced studies across Belgium, the UK, and Australia. In 2008, she earned a first-class Master’s in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and, in 2015, became a Certified Connect Therapy Practitioner in Sydney, Australia.
With over 18 years of experience, Claudia has developed a distinctive approach to physiotherapy that goes far beyond treating an isolated injury or simply managing symptoms.
Her philosophy is rooted in truly holistic, movement-based rehabilitation. Rather than relying predominantly on passive treatments or giving patients a standard set of exercises, Claudia looks at how the whole person moves, breathes, loads and adapts, and at the wider biopsychosocial factors that may be influencing their symptoms.
At the heart of her approach is empowerment. Claudia believes that treatment should facilitate the body’s own capacity to recover, helping people understand what is happening, reconnect with their bodies and develop the strength, confidence and tools to actively participate in their recovery.
This philosophy led Claudia to found MovementHolic in 2015, bringing together physiotherapy, movement, strength and education to create a more active and individualised approach to rehabilitation.
Her own experience of motherhood later deepened her passion for women’s health and led to the creation of Motherhood in Motion and her acclaimed Postnatal Belly Solution™ Coaching Programs, helping women move beyond simply “recovering” after pregnancy and truly rebuild their strength, function and confidence to return to the lives and activities they love.
